Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.May assist with food preparation, such as washing and peeling vegetables, pizza sauce and dough preparation, and other duties as assigned.Cleans stoves, ovens, grills, refrigerators, and using cleaning solutions, brushes and wash cloths.Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons. The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. This position also can assist with food prep and maintaining stock levels in the kitchen as directed by the Kitchen Management team. The Kitchen Steward position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods.
